Stainless Pipe Description
304 stainless steel is the most widely used chromium-nickel
stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, heat resistance,
low temperature strength and mechanical properties;304 steel also
haas good hot workability such as stamping and bending, no heat
treatment hardening phenomenon (use temperature -196℃～800℃).
Grade 304 is a 300 series stainless steel austenitic, which has a
minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel.Chromium is the basic element
to make stainless steel corrosion resistance. When the chromium
content in steel reaches about 12%, chromium reacts with oxygen in
the corrosive medium to form a thin oxide layer on the surface of
stainless steel, which can prevent further corrosion of the steel
matrix.
