316 stainless steel pipe available in seamless or welded, is a
high-performance piping solution specifically engineered for
industries where durability, hygiene, and corrosion resistance are
non-negotiable. Crafted from austenitic stainless steel (Grade 316
/ UNS S31600),enriched with molybdenum (2–3%), significantly
improving its resistance to chlorides, acids, and marine
atmospheres.
Compared to 304, 316 stainless steel is more resistant to:
- Saltwater corrosion
- Chloride pitting and crevice corrosion
- Harsh acids (sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic)
- Industrial solvents and oxidizers
